Hydrangea Diamond Rouge® First Edition

A true jewel in your garden!

Bred by Jean Renault in France, Diamond Rouge produces a stunning range of colors from white, to pink to raspberry red and finally wine red.

Flowers begin blooming in July and reach red coloration earlier in the season than other pink paniculatas. Color reaches its height in the fall when the temperature variation from day to evening is at least 10 degrees.

Flower color varies depending on climate and growing conditions and blossoms are bigger and more dramatic than the Strawberry Sundae® variety.

Multiple prunings in production will help to encourage sturdier stems.

Here are three great reasons to grow Hydrangea Diamond Rouge®:

  1. Stunning color that ranges from white to raspberry to wine red.
  2. Color reaches its height in fall with temperature variations between night/day.
  3. Sturdy stems can be produced through multiple prunings.
